Flood Awareness Month

Governor Beebe has declared May as Flood Awareness Month in Arkansas. It's good to be "aware" that just because it hasn't flooded in a week or two, flooding is "inevitable". We just don't know when. Even if flooding seems remote where you live, seriously consider flood insurance to protect your investment in you home or business. Just because the flood map does not show you in a high risk, Zone A, area does not mean your property will never flood. There is a reason why 25 to 35% of all flood claims are paid for property that is said to be "out of the floodplain". Floods do not follow lines on a map. "Be Aware".
